The BrokerLift Global Search provides users with a easy way to search for key records across the platform. This search bar, available on every portal page, is always accessible, ensuring that users can quickly retrieve the information they need.
How Global Search Works

Users enter search criteria into the Global Search bar and hits the ENTER key or clicks Search icon.

The system will return a list of matching Applications and Policies, based on the entered search terms.
Searchable Data Fields
The Global Search functionality spans across multiple key fields, ensuring comprehensive search capabilities. Users can search for the following values:

Policy and Application Identifiers:

BrokerLift Policy Number

BrokerLift Application Reference Number

Applicant/Named Insured Information:

The search term "Portal" or "Embed" will filter results by how the Application or Policy was generated:

Portal: B2B Applications/Policies submitted through the BrokerLift portal.

Embed: B2C Applications/Policies generated through embedded forms on external sites.

Example Use Cases

Broker searches for a specific policy by entering the policy number.

Admin filters applications created through Embed forms by entering "Embed" into the search bar.

Underwriter can view all Portal generated applications for a specified location.
Additional Notes

As new Applications are generated and new Policies bound, the Global Search results update dynamically with relevant matches from across the BrokerLift platform, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

If a specific identifier, like policy number, is entered, the system will prioritize that result in the search output.

Results are returned in pages. The number of results per page can be controlled by the user.

Results can be sorted by field (ascending/descending).

If you enter multiple search criteria, the results will contain all Policies and Applications that match either of the criteria (it is an OR search not an AND search).
